Our Mission
A welcoming space where movement, community + wellness meet.
Through yoga, fitness, and restorative practices, we help people move with intention, feel good in their bodies, and build a thriving collective.

Balance Studio is a non-heated yoga studio in Scottsdale created as a calm and elevated space for movement, strength, and recovery. We focus on beginner-friendly yoga, thoughtful sequencing, and a supportive environment where everyone feels welcome.
Some days call for a flowing vinyasa class that links breath to movement, or Yogalates blending mat Pilates with yoga's flexibility, or perhaps our signature ABC (Arms, Buns, and Core) class for full-body strength and confidence. While other days request you to slow down with a candlelight flow or recharge with a soothing sound bath. However you arrive, there's a class that gets you.
We believe in the magic of collective movement.
Coming together to move, breathe, and be present can lift the human spirit like nothing else. Beyond the mat, our mission is to build a community of kind, joyful people who show up for themselves and each other.
When you walk through our doors, you'll feel it: a warm, welcoming energy, a space that soothes your senses, and a chance to take a break from the noise of daily life. It's your invitation to pause, move, connect, and leave feeling better than when you arrived.
What We Stand For
Our values, on the mat and off.
01
Community + Connection
We're more than a studio — we're a chosen family. Every person is greeted with kindness, compassion, and care. From the front desk to the last moment of savasana, we foster genuine connection.
02
Wellness + Sustainability
Wellness here goes beyond movement. We nurture health, peace of mind, and purpose while making conscious choices — plant-based cleaning products, socially conscious retail, and community thrift swaps.
03
Integrity + Care
Classes start and end on time, our studio stays impeccably clean, and our team shows up ready, professional, and invested in offering thoughtful service on and off the mat.
04
Tradition + Consistency
We honor meaningful traditions that create rhythm and familiarity — opening rituals, signature closing practices, and community events that offer grounding and a sense of belonging.
05
Teaching Philosophy
Our teachers are here to teach you. They stay present, observe the room, and ensure cues are understood. Class styles stay true to description while teachers bring creativity and personal style to the mat.

Owner's Story
Meet Karen Clark.
Karen Clark is a yoga teacher, strength and fitness teacher, personal trainer, retreat leader, author, sound and energy healer who is passionate about helping others reconnect with themselves and rediscover their inner spark.
A Canadian-American dual citizen, Karen's journey into yoga began during a challenging chapter of her life, which led her to seek peace on the mat. What started as a personal practice soon grew into a calling to teach and share the healing power of movement and mindfulness with others.
After years in the interior design industry, Karen made a life-changing shift to yoga and wellness. In 2021, she followed an intuitive pull away from her home in California to Scottsdale, Arizona, embracing a new beginning. That same year, she published her first book, Soul Fire: A Guide for Getting to Know Yourself and Living Your Happiest Life, offering readers a heartfelt guide to personal growth and self-discovery.
Today, Karen leads local and international yoga and wellness retreats in destinations like Sedona, Bali, Palm Springs, Temecula, Lake Arrowhead and Joshua Tree. She also offers energy healing sessions, incorporating Reiki, tuning forks, and sound therapy.
